Movie Review: Pineapple Express,
Seth Rogen's recent comedy smash is hard to avoid. With movies like 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, and SuperBad smashing through the roof of the comedy world it's easy to see why.
In Pineapple Express, Rogen is at it again, this time with Spiderman star James Franco. Rogen plays his typical bumbling fool with a heart of gold who loves to smoke pot.
James Franco, who does an excellent job portraying the all-American stoner, happens to be Rogen's dealer.
To sum up the plot, it's a stoner action movie involving guns, car chases, and drug dealers.
Underlining the thin plot was Rogen and Franco constantly smoking reefer with an occasional joke or two.
Overall the movie was typical, if you love Rogen's standard character you'll love him again. If you're looking for something new, this probably isn't for you.
There is one genius line in the beginning of the movie that sets it all up: "pot makes boring movies good," this may be one of those movies.
