The Settler: One stop shop for Vol State's campus news
Issue date: 1/14/08 Section: Opinion
It's hard to believe that a new year has begun and it's time to start another semester.
We at The Settler would like to extend a warm welcome to all new and returning students, faculty and staff.
The Settler strives to provide the Volunteer State Community College family with a convenient source for the latest breaking news and information about all the happenings around campus.
We are continually trying to make improvements as to be able to better serve our readers.
It's never been easier to stay in "the know," especially with the help of our new website which debuted last semester, www.SettlerOnline.com.
Although our print version is only published once a week, our readers can stay up-to-date between issues by visiting our website.
We would like to encourage our readers to register their e-mail addresses in order to receive breaking news bulletins and weekly issues delivered directly to their inbox.
SettlerOnline.com also allows for reader-feedback in the form of a weekly poll and article comments.
We would also like to encourage our readers to make their thoughts and opinions known by commenting articles on our website and/or by submitting a letter to the editor.
We want to hear from our readers.
You are the reason The Settler exists so let us know what you think!
